What is Stress?

Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances. Stress can either be a positive or negative experience; however, most people are negatively-affected. If stress goes untreated or is not released, the toxins built up in the body will create sickness and disease. In a severe case, stress can lead to a complete breakdown requiring in-hospital treatment. Learning to be grounded and balanced helps you to work and live stress-free despite the demands in your life.








What is the Purnam Yoga® System?

“Purnam” in Sanskrit means perfection. With a blend of intensive breathing techniques and yoga postures, Acharya Shree Yogeesh developed the Purnam System, which helps cleanse your body of toxins and negativities and immediately brings clarity, a sense of lightness, reduced tension and the ability to meditate deeply. Accommodations

We provide simple, clean and comfortable accommodations as part of your all-inclusive retreat. You have a choice of either shared, private or full-private accommodations depending on your preference of stay. Rooms include linen, heat and a/c.

Personal Experience

Class sizes range from 3-10 to give you a personal, intimate and custom experience. With small groups sizes, you are able to absorb the teachings deeply, get to know teachers on a more personal level, and get personal guidance when learning techniques associated with the class.

Mantra Chanting

Chanting divine sounds (mantras) to increase inner peace, concentration, calmness, knowledge, contentment, prosperity in all aspects of life, overcome life's difficulties and fear, detoxify the body, mind & soul and purify negativities.


Vegetarian Meals

Chai (Tea)

How is this different from other meditation and yoga retreats which also help reduce stress?

Our Stress Relief Retreat was developed by Acharya Shree Yogeesh to help you if you have very high stress levels, which are negatively affecting and impacting your life, work, family, etc. It is normal to have daily stress and family/work demands; however, if you are beginning to lose your temper, starting to feel lost and disconnected, are constantly angry, having trouble focusing, feeling too overwhelmed, losing sleep, and constantly feeling tired, then this retreat is for you. If you are seeking general peace of mind, the yoga and meditation retreats will help you.

What kind of stress do you help with?

We help all types of stress, whether from the workplace, family life, school, and other demands. We have individuals from the medical, legal, psychological, and military workplaces as well as stay-at-home fathers and mothers who come for the Stress Relief Retreat. Stress can be experienced as a result of a traumatic experience, addictions, death, tragedies, illness, etc. and this retreat can help you heal and get grounded as well.

I’ve turned to drugs and alcohol to help me cope with my stress, will this retreat help me break my addictions too?

In the case of using abusing drugs or alcohol to deal with stress, we highly suggest that you take our Breaking Free of Addiction Retreat in combination with the Stress Relief Retreat to help you overcome your addictions and heal from your stress. Learn more here.

Do you teach Stress Relief Seminars at workplaces?

Will I get a mantra to help me awaken and grow spiritually?

Part of this retreat includes 12 mantras, which helps you grow spiritually, activate your chakras, increase peace and calmness, and help reduce the negative affects of the mind.

Can I practice silence when I attend this retreat?

Yes, you can have a silent retreat too. You can ask your questions by writing them on a piece of paper, or you can ask your questions in class, then return to your silence once class is over.

Can I do a water or juice fast when I attend this retreat?

Yes, you can water or juice fast during this retreat. When you register just select the fast as an add-on.

I’d like to take two workshops (or more) during my stay, is this possible?

Yes, you can participate in multiple workshops during your retreat. During a 3-day stay, we do not advise more than two workshops. If you are able to stay 7 days, we offer a 7-Day Spiritual Intensive Retreat which includes 3 workshops. To learn more about adding on an another retreat, click here for more information.

Can I come a day or two earlier or stay a few days later?

Yes, you can come a few days earlier or stay a few days later before and after your program begins. This is considered a personal retreat that can be added on to your stay. Click here for more information on extending your stay.

Is it possible to schedule a private consultation during my retreat?

Yes, we do offer private consultations in 30 minute and 1 hour sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can request your private consultation at the time of registration or during your program. To learn more about the private consultation, click here.

Can my children come?

Due to the nature of our programs, we prefer that your children do not come with you. We do not offer day-care or baby-sitting services. However, we encourage you to come during our Spiritual Children’s Camp. We offer this camp several times a year.
