What will happen during my Water Fast?

The Water Fasting Retreat is suggested for experienced fasters that have completed a juice or water fast before. However, we do welcome those who wish to try a water fast for time as well.

We ask if you are trying a water fast for the first time to start with a 1 - 2 day goal. Following this goal, you can proceed day by day as you feel. Because we are experienced with the signs and symptoms of when it is time to break a water fast, we will let you know. The day you break your water fast we will provide you first with warm soups and broth, followed by a gradual transition into a solid food diet. You may break your water fast at any time.

We have had retreaters from all over the world participate in water fasts from 3 to 30 days safely and successfully.

What you should know...

Well, you should know that our retreat center is just a few years old. :) Not to worry. We have an established ashram center near Los Angeles, California since 1994, this spiritual retreat center in Texas just started in September 2008. We have facilities to teach and are able to provide nice accommodations, but it is a work in progress. Turning an old ranch into a large retreat center isn't an easy thing to do. We have come very far though with the help of volunteers, and we are proud of our progress in such a short period. This is the main reason why space is so limited, but it's great for you because we can provide you with individual guidance, which you especially need. Awesome!

How much is it?

Other for-profit retreat centers charge separately for your water fasting retreat and accommodations. As a non-profit spiritual retreat center, we understand the importance of providing an all-inclusive cost, therefore our water fasting retreat is offered at a very low rate of only $57.00 $47 (shared accommodations) or $87.00 $77 (private accommodations).

What if it’s not for me?

If you start your water fasting retreat and you feel it is not for you, or if you have to leave early because something came up, we completely understand. That is why we will give you a credit of unused time for a future visit with no expiration date for another personal retreat. Or, you can transfer your credit to someone else which can be used on any program they want. There is a $47 non-refundable deposit though, which initially reserves your space.
