Do you feel like life can be stressful and sometimes very overwhelming to manage? Do you feel like certain life conditions, experiences, incidents, weaknesses and struggles may have pushed you to look for superficial relief or temporary enjoyment, however with time you have become dependent to this temporary and harmful ‘relief’? Addiction is no small matter. Whatever the addiction relates to, be it drugs, alcohol, gambling, cigarettes, food, sex, work, or certain behaviors or actions, the physical and emotional toll of the addiction state is very serious.
You know substance-dependency is making your body, mind and soul sick. Addiction is taking over your life and it is now at a point where you have lost control of it. This tendency dictates what you do, when and how. You are not yourself anymore. You miss the real you. Your addiction is harming you and is affecting your family, social, and personal relationships. You are not performing well at your job. You feel weak and lack a sense of safety and security. Deep inside, you want to put an end to this abuse, but you don’t know how to. You may have felt humiliated or rejected by people. You are feeling guilt and shame because you know this is not good for you. This has lead you to despair as you feel like you lack the right support system, but most importantly you lack the tools to set yourself free from this. You have looked for help, but you know that unless you go to the root of things, you will never drop that dependency. You know that if you help yourself spiritually and internally, that you have a vastly greater possibility to put an end to your addiction.
Maybe you are taking a break to evaluate your life and realize that you are no longer in control of it. Anger, negative emotions, weakness of the mind are taking over you and they steer you into behaviors that give you temporary relief, joys and pleasures, yet that are very harmful to you. You feel lost, confused and can’t find yourself in the midst of this hectic world. When you lose control of your life, you cannot accomplish your goals and you feel like you are wasting your life. Society has established predetermined conditions on how to live life and you feel pressure and stress trying to meet these high demands and this pushes you even more towards your dependency. You feel stuck even though you know there is so much you have to offer not only the world, your friends and your family, but also yourself. You may lack courage, guidance, strength, direction, motivation and support to reclaim your life. The voice inside of you tells you to help yourself and find the right guidance. You’re searching for help. And that’s why you are reading this.
Addiction is the act of becoming dependent on a substance, thing, or behavior. Addiction can be a dependency, but it’s not limited to only drugs, cigarets, alcohol, sex, gambling, technology, or food. People that become addicted to these know they are harmful to their body and/or mind, but do it despite the negative consequences. Once the addiction prevails, people have no control over it and their actions, thoughts and behaviors revolve around it. It is important to live a non-addicted life.
“Purnam” in Sanskrit means perfection. With a blend of intensive breathing techniques and yoga postures, Acharya Shree Yogeesh developed the Purnam System, which helps cleanse your body of toxins and negativities and immediately brings clarity, a sense of lightness, reduced tension and the ability to meditate deeply. This is a new and unique system not taught elsewhere. It includes 84 breathing combinations in total. The breathing helps to detoxify the lungs, purify the blood and pump oxygen to the nerves and brain, while the postures help to tone and cleanse the muscles. It is not taught elsewhere. The Purnam System is deeply connected to the spiritual teachings of the Yoga system of nonviolence, self-improvement, meditation, and connecting to one’s highest self (soul). The Purnam System removes the addiction-causing toxins that keep you in negative and destructive patterns.
