What is PTSD?

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder as a result of experiencing a traumatic event such as being in war, sexual assault or abuse, witnessing a terrible event, death, bullying, and even insignificant events depending on how the event was interpreted. Common symptoms of PTSD include flashbacks, anxiety, depression, recurring nightmares, inner and external violence, no peace of mind, high levels of stress, hypervigilance, fearful living, feeling disconnected, misunderstood and alone, and having sleepless nights. Many live with the symptoms of undiagnosed PTSD and see the negative effects harming their lives without healing themselves. It is never too late to get help.








What is the Purnam Yoga® System?

“Purnam” in Sanskrit means perfection. With a blend of intensive breathing techniques and yoga postures, Acharya Shree Yogeesh developed the Purnam System, which helps cleanse your body of toxins and negativities and immediately brings clarity, a sense of lightness, reduced tension and the ability to meditate deeply. This is a new and unique system not taught elsewhere. It includes 84 breathing combinations in total. The breathing helps to detoxify the lungs, purify the blood and pump oxygen to the nerves and brain, while the postures help to tone and cleanse the muscles. It is not taught elsewhere. Accommodations

We provide simple, clean and comfortable accommodations as part of your all-inclusive retreat. You have a choice of either shared, private or full-private accommodations depending on your preference of stay. Rooms include linen, heat and a/c.

Personal Experience

Class sizes range from 3-10 to give you a personal, intimate and custom experience. With small groups sizes, you are able to absorb the teachings deeply, get to know teachers on a more personal level, and get personal guidance when learning techniques associated with the class.

Vegetarian Meals

What types of PTSD do you specialize in?

We help all forms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed. Traumatic events we have helped with are war, rape, child sexual abuse, human trafficking, loss of a loved one, loss of a child, domestic violence, abusive parents, parents with alcohol/drug abuse, car accidents, mistakes/failures, bullying, and many other unique cases. How will my life change as a result of this retreat?

By doing your practices, you can heal and let go of the past, gain clarity, increase concentration, eliminate flashbacks, reduce anxiety, depression and panic attacks, begin to feel calmness, peace, relaxed, no longer turn to drugs/alcohol, become a non-violent person, connect with yourself and your family, no longer feel lost and alone, and be yourself again. Total transformation is possible if you do your practices.

Can I stop taking medication?

We are not medical professionals; therefore we cannot advise you to stop taking medications. However, from past guests who have taken this retreat and have consistently kept up with their practices, some of their doctors have reduced the amount of medication they take or now no longer take medication as a result of the retreat. Every situation varies and we cannot guarantee that you will stop taking medications; however, we do know you can get better by learning the Purnam System to help purify your body, mind and soul, and to have helpful tools when negative symptoms sneak in.

Will I get a mantra to help me awaken and grow spiritually?

Part of this retreat includes 12 mantras, which helps you grow spiritually, activate your chakras, increase peace and calmness, and help reduce the negative affects of the mind.

Can I practice silence when I attend this retreat?

Yes, you can have a silent retreat too. You can ask your questions by writing them on a piece of paper, or you can ask your questions in class, then return to your silence once class is over.

Can I do a water or juice fast when I attend this retreat?

Yes, you can water or juice fast during this retreat. When you register just select the fast as an add-on.

I’d like to take two workshops (or more) during my stay, is this possible?

Yes, you can participate in multiple workshops during your retreat if other programs are being offered.. During a 3-day stay, we do not advise more than two workshops. To learn more about adding on an another retreat, click here for more information.

Can I come a day or two earlier or stay a few days later?

Yes, you can come a few days earlier or stay a few days later before and after your program begins. This is considered a personal retreat that can be added on to your stay. Click here for more information on extending your stay.

Is it possible to schedule a private consultation during my retreat?

Yes, we do offer private consultations in 30 minute and 1 hour sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can request your private consultation at the time of registration or during your program. To learn more about the private consultation, click here.

Can my children come?

Due to the nature of our programs, we prefer that your children do not come with you. We do not offer day-care or baby-sitting services. However, we encourage you to come during our Spiritual Children’s Camp. We offer this camp several times a year.
