What is Meditation?

What is the Purnam Yoga® System?

“Purnam” in Sanskrit means perfection. With a blend of intensive breathing techniques and yoga postures, Acharya Shree Yogeesh developed the Purnam System, which helps cleanse your body of toxins and negativities, immediately bringing clarity, a sense of lightness, reduced tension and the state of relaxation that enables you to experience deep states of meditation. Accommodations

We provide simple, clean and comfortable accommodations as part of your all-inclusive retreat. You have a choice of either shared, private or full-private accommodations depending on your preference of stay. Rooms include linen, heat and a/c.

Personal Experience

Class sizes range from 3-10 to give you a personal, intimate and custom experience. With small groups sizes, you are able to absorb the teachings deeply, get to know teachers on a more personal level, and get personal guidance when learning techniques associated with the class.

Mantra Chanting

Chanting divine sounds (mantras) to increase inner peace, concentration, calmness, knowledge, contentment, prosperity in all aspects of life, overcome life's difficulties and fear, detoxify the body, mind & soul and purify negativities.


Vegetarian Meals

Enjoy a variety of international vegetarian and vegan meals for lunch and dinner with the company of like-minded individuals. A simple breakfast is also included. Vegan meals and special-diet meals are available upon request.

When is the next Meditation Retreat?

I don’t know anything about meditation. Can I still attend this retreat?

Yes, our meditation retreat is for everyone, whether you are just curious about meditation or have been meditating for years this retreat will benefit you.

I learned other meditation techniques elsewhere, how are you different?

Our founder, Acharya Shree Yogeesh, developed the Purnam Yoga®  System which helps detoxify your body and mind so that you can enter deep states of meditation. This system is not taught elsewhere. In fact, most guests that are experienced in meditation and have learned elsewhere say that what they thought was meditation wasn’t really meditation. After learning the system they can see a tremendous difference in their experiences.

My mind never lets me meditate, how can you help me change this?

We teach a special process to help you reach meditation. Most teachers will focus on the mind as the obstacle; however, the true process is to first purify and discipline your body, then bypass (not control) the mind through several techniques so it doesn’t bother you. Finally, you will then be totally relaxed so that you can connect to your soul and experience true peace.

Will I get a mantra to help me with meditation?

Part of the meditation retreat includes 12 mantras, plus special activation mantras to help you bypass your mind and activate your center this way you can enter meditation.

Can I practice silence when I attend this retreat?

Yes, you can have a silent meditation retreat. You can ask your questions by writing them on a piece of paper, or you can ask your questions in class, then return to your silence once class is over.

Can I do a water or juice fast when I attend this retreat?

Yes, you can water or juice fast during this retreat. When you register just select the fast as an add-on.

I’d like to take two workshops (or more) during my stay, is this possible?

Yes, you can participate in multiple workshops during your retreat if other programs are being offered. During a 3-day stay, we do not advise more than two workshops. To learn more about adding on an another retreat, click here for more information.

Can I come a day or two earlier or stay a few days later?

Yes, you can come a few days earlier or stay a few days later before and after your program begins. This is considered a personal retreat that can be added on to your stay. Click here for more information on extending your stay.

Is it possible to schedule a private consultation during my retreat?

Yes, we do offer private consultations in 30 minute and 1 hour sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can request your private consultation at the time of registration or during your program. To learn more about the private consultation, click here.

Can my children come?

Due to the nature of our programs, we prefer that your children do not come with you. We do not offer day-care or baby-sitting services. However, we encourage you to come during our Spiritual Children’s Camp. We offer this camp several times a year. Can my teenager attend this retreat with me?

Yes, your teenager can attend this meditation retreat with you and benefit a lot. They will learn how to release stress and tension, increase their focus and concentration power for school, be able to clear their mind, increase their world vision and much more.
